Driving License Nepal: Complete Application Guide
Getting a driving license in Nepal has become easier with the online application system managed by the Department of Transport Management (DoTM).
Types of Licenses

Step 1: Online Application
- Visit dotm.gov.np
- Click "Online License Application"
- Fill in personal details (citizenship required)
- Select category (A, B, etc.)
- Pay application fee (NPR 1,000 for category A, NPR 1,500 for B)
Step 2: Written Exam
- Format: Computer-based, 20 questions
- Pass marks: 60% (12 out of 20)
- Time: 20 minutes
Step 3: Trial Test
Trial Test Components
- Track Test: 8-shaped track, garage parking, gradient test
- Road Test: Drive on real road for 5-10 minutes
