IOE Entrance Exam: Complete Guide
The Institute of Engineering (IOE) Entrance Examination is the gateway to engineering education in Nepal. Conducted annually by Tribhuvan University, it is the most competitive engineering entrance in the country.
Why IOE?
IOE is the umbrella institution for all constituent engineering campuses under Tribhuvan University, including:
- Pulchowk Campus (the most prestigious)
- Thapathali Campus
- Paschimanchal Campus (Pokhara)
- Purwanchal Campus (Dharan)
Eligibility
- Nepali citizen or foreign national meeting criteria
- Passed +2 Science (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
- Minimum 45% in +2 or equivalent (for general category)
- Minimum 40% for reserved categories
Exam Pattern
The IOE Entrance is a computer-based examination of 2 hours with 80 questions:
